The writer, in this case, being me.
One of the most interesting and surprising things about writing tenders for clients is you uncover just how good they really are at what they do.
Even when you know they’re experts in their field, digging into the details of how they work and approach things can be jaw-dropping.
The kind of tenders I’m referring to are for projects where it’s not just about submitting the lowest price.
Service levels are a critical element of winning the work.
My role in the process is to help set the strategy around service delivery in a way that beats out the competition.
Pricing is handled by the client.
One of my clients specialises in Complex Event Logistics.
If you don’t know what that involves, here’s the briefest guide.
Every year they move thousands (and I mean thousands) of exhibits and displays to and from events worldwide.
They operate in six of the world’s seven continents (Antarctica remains blissfully event free).
They can lift and place the heaviest machines, boats or cars onto and off stands (they hold the record for the UK’s heaviest lift).
And in Brussels, they have a permanent road sign with their name on it.
The sign directs the hundreds of vehicles that descend on the city for the large-scale events my client marshals.
I could go on, but you probably won’t be as interested as me in some of the other massive behind-the-scenes work they do on some of the UK and Europe’s biggest events.
What I will say is that if you need to move exhibits or display equipment anywhere, you could not put your trust in any better company.
I will be very happy to put you in contact with them.
Very best,
