Your future managers are hiding in plain sight

Research by Gallup found that only one in ten individuals has the aptitude for managing others.

Gallup conducted the research with US-based businesses.

Something that will ring true on this side of the pond is the two most common reasons why people get promoted.

  1. The years they’ve been with the company
  2. Success in a non-managerial field

That’s why so many internal management appointments don’t work as they should.

The people appointed don’t have the management skills required for their new role.

They don’t know how to get the best out of the team they now lead.

One way to avoid points 1 & 2 above is to train team members for the roles you’d like them to hold in the future.

You’ll see who your future managers and leaders could be by helping them develop skills and experience and by testing progress.

One thing’s for sure: excellent managers possess excellent people skills.

They can relate to the people they work with.

The training we provide develops management skills and clear thinking.

If you want to have excellent managers in the future, now is the time to develop and train them.

Very best,
