TEN DAYS TO TRADE SHOW READY

Unlock More Sales From Trade Shows

  • You probably have more sales to unlock from trade shows than you realise
  • You also have the opportunity to win back more time in your schedule
  • And you can increase team skills and morale at the same time

That’s where Ten Days To Trade Show Ready can help.

If you have a trade show approaching, we can train a member of your team to a high level of effectiveness.

The training and support in this course provides thorough preparation for an effective stand and for making sales.

And that work can start within a few short hours if you buy the course today.

Let’s make sales.

While we’re at it, let’s improve performance. Yes, the stand needs to look good.

More importantly, it needs to work.

That’s what Ten Days To Trade Show Ready‘s training and support delivers.

Here’s how.

We will send ten tutorials to your trainee by email.

They cover:

  • Getting Organised
  • Space Only Bookings (Part 1)
  • Space Only Bookings (Part 2)
  • Shell Scheme Stands
  • Stand Graphics
  • Setting Up To Make Sales
  • Forms & Paperwork
  • Pre-Show Marketing
  • On-Site Management
  • Following Up And Reporting

They arrive every 48 hours.

  • We don’t send them on weekends.
  • Nor on Bank Holidays.
  • Trainees can request help at any time during work hours.
  • They send us an email, and we will reply with an answer.
  • If our email doesn’t clarify things, we follow up with a Zoom or Teams call.

Our trade show performance coaching will improve your trainee’s organisation and marketing skills.

Later, they can pass those skills to other members of your team.

As skills improve, there will be less demand for input from you.

Fewer questions and fewer requests for decisions will come your way.

When that happens, you’ll have more time for higher-value work.

The core theme of Ten Days To Trade Show Ready is that exhibiting is about making sales.

At the very least, your trade shows should be paying propositions.

It’s why we cover these three things in detail;

  1. Methods to increase or improve stand footfall
  2. Ways to increase sales leads at shows
  3. Converting show leads to sales

To further support trainees, we include a Teams or Zoom call.

  1. They can choose the timing.
  2. During the call, we discuss plans for the upcoming show.
  3. If there are questions or concerns, we provide input.
  4. And we may recommend a supplier if asked to do so.

If your show is in London, I will attend.

It will be on the final day (generally the quietest).

During the visit, I will meet with your stand manager to ask them how things have gone.

Based on what they tell me and on what I see and know about the event, I may send some recommendations that could help at your next show.

For a show outside London, a follow-up call will cover the same information.

  • You can delegate as described if your next trade show is two or more months away.
  • Don’t buy the training for an event less than a month away.
  • It will help, but your business won’t get the full benefit gained from a longer lead time.

It’s important to note that our part in the arrangement is to supply training.

We don’t do the work. Trainees put the lessons into action.  That’s how they learn.

We will answer questions. We will make suggestions if asked.

But, to repeat, we don’t do the work.

You may have questions or reservations about this approach. If so, see the FAQs section below.

FAQs

We’re already getting excellent results; I can’t see how this will help my business.

  • Great! If you know what exhibiting is delivering for your business and you know the cost of event leads and sales, your company may not benefit from the course. But,
  • If you want someone in the organisation (other than you) to know these and other things related to making sales, your business will benefit from their ownership of that skill set.

How will this be more beneficial than what we do now?

  • If you’re getting great results and someone else within your team is handling events with minimal input, you don’t need it.
  • However, if that person ups and leaves, or you want to promote them to another position, use Ten Days to train the new guy or gal.
  • There are three significant benefits: you or someone else are freed for other work, skills are enhanced within your team, and sales from trade shows are improved.

We spend a lot of money on shows already; isn’t this just increasing our event costs?

  • Training is an investment in your people and your company. It’s good for morale, and it’s good for business.
  • Training is also a tax-deductible expense.
  • The cost is also a tiny fraction of the money you’ll likely spend on exhibiting. Balance the outlay against the extra sales you’ll likely make and the time saved by your team.

How do I justify the cost in a tight market?

  • Ten Days To Trade Show Ready will help your trainee position your business for sales rather than just exhibiting. In a market where sales are static or falling, honing sales and marketing skills is essential.

Cashflow is tight, and our next event is months away. Can we pay in instalments?

  • We don’t offer a payment plan. However, you can pay a 20% refundable deposit now to secure the telephone consultancy element of the training (because we don’t have unlimited slots).
  • You can receive the questionnaire (and call) regarding your event objectives if you pay your deposit now. Or you can delay that part of the process until later in the year.
  • Either way, start the training three months or more away from the event

Why do we need this? Isn’t it the organiser’s job to get people to the show?

Yes, that is why you pay an exhibition organiser. Their job is to get buyers to the show, but that’s where their responsibility ends. It’s up to you to get buyers onto your stand.

What makes you qualified to teach this?

Forty years of trade show organising and exhibiting in the UK and mainland Europe.

Why is it called Ten Days To Trade Show Ready when it takes longer than ten days?

  • That’s because there are ten lessons.
  • We don’t want to overload trainees, so we space the lessons. And we want each lesson to sink in and be applied. It’s why we space as we do. But over ten days of their choosing, they get the event skills highlighted above.

What do you advise if we’re wondering if trade shows are for us?

  • Don’t buy the course if there’s a chance you’re not going to exhibit.
  • On the other hand, if you plan to exhibit on a last-chance basis, the course will help you become a true believer in the value of exhibiting once more.
