Is the world really overcrowded?
Many believe that it is.
Doom mongers say too many people crowd our beautiful blue planet.
Yet, all seven billion of us could fit into the US state of Texas.
Apparently, if we did, we’d all get around 100 sqm of living space.
That’s a slightly better population density than residents of New York City currently enjoy.
So the world is overcrowded but only in certain places.
My local pub on a hot Friday night springs to mind.
The reality is that there are huge expanses of the globe where you’d be hard-pushed to meet another soul.
I’m not talking about going to Antarctica or Siberia, either.
Try closer to home, like the rural parts of Ireland, Scotland or France.
Due to a mix-up a few years back, a flight I took to Newcastle from London got messed up.
I was put onto a small turboprop plane instead of the usual commuter jet.
The flight was at a much lower level altitude, and what a treat it turned out to be.
I learned on that flight that much of England has nothing built upon it.
I mean nothing.
It was enlightening and encouraging.
What’s this got to do with anything of the slightest interest or benefit to you?
Get away from crowded thinking.
Specifically, get away from the same marketing tactics everyone else uses.
They’re already crowding out the people you want to do business with.
See this page for a different approach that includes trade show marketing but is not solely dependent on it.
Very best,
