Five tips for effective stand management

24/08/22Posted in Stand Management, Trade show marketing, Trade Show Stand Mastery Course

With the autumn trade show season just around the corner, here are five tips for effective stand management.

  1. Plan early; You have a busy day job, but trade shows have a habit of sneaking up on you—book time into your schedule for event-related thinking and organising.
  2. Get your stand team booked; You want the best people working with you on your stand. Let them know the event dates and location as soon as possible. Provide plenty of notice and confirm their attendance.
  3. Get your show messaging straight; Decide what you’re promoting and how you will convey that before, during and after the event.
  4. Promote your presence before the event; The organiser’s job is to get buyers through the doors. It’s up to you to get them onto your stand.
  5. Organise your following-up procedures before you go to the show; It will be tempting to dive straight back into your day job once the event ends and you are back in the office. Not following up with buyers met at the show immediately will lose sales.
