The Trade Show Marketing Issue

About The Trade Show Marketing Issue

I wrote the Trade Show Marketing Issue of Quietly Good* back in 2021.

At the time of writing, trade shows were emerging from Lockdown, hence the subtitle, “Back From The Dead!”

If you buy this issue, you’ll have a fast and highly cost-effective insight into my wily trade show marketing ways.

That’s because I’ve packed tons of trade show marketing know-how into twenty-two pages.

Here’s what’s covered;

  • Statistics for trade show attendance
  • Reminders about the benefits and unique qualities of events
  • Why virtual events aren’t helpful when it comes to sales
  • A long list of marketing tasks that you can use trade participation to achieve
  • How to delegate stand organisation effectively
  • Advice on when not to exhibit
  • Exhibiting as a paying proposition
  • Using trade shows as marketing milestones in a financial year
  • Maxing out event opportunities
  • Effective pre-show marketing, including “Why Do Buyers Go To Trade Shows?”
  • Timing of pre-show marketing invitations
  • How to get involved in the speaking opportunities most shows offer

For US-based event managers

This course uses stand descriptions common to the UK and Europe, but everything else will be readily understood wherever you’re based.

However, if you get stuck with any terminology, we will be happy to explain.

About the Author

David O’Beirne. is an event organising and stand management expert with, scarily, forty years of involvement in trade and consumer events. During those years, he has conducted dozens of in-person exhibitor training events and published hundreds of event articles.

He has organised large-scale trade and consumer shows, but more importantly, he has also exhibited and run stands. There are very few event-related issues he hasn’t seen or dealt with.

The Trade Show Marketing Issue; At the time of writing The Trade Show Marketing Issue, events were emerging from Lockdown, hence "Back From The Dead!" It's still current now
